  • Connecticut Mother Who Lost Son To Drug Overdose To Address Lynn School Children, Parents
    Ginger Katz lost her son Ian to a drug overdose in 1996. Since 1997, she and her husband Larry have traveled the nation, and through their Courage to Speak Foundation, Inc., have made it their mission to empower young people to say no to drugs, and encourage parents to address the problem of substance abuse by communicating the dangers of drugs with their children.

  • Drug Dealers to Fund Anti-Drug Education
    Norwalk Police Chief Harry Rilling and Mayor Alex Knopp will announce the allocation of money seized from drug dealers to support substance prevention education for about 1000 Norwalk seventh grade students. Six thousand dollars of asset forfeitures will be used to help fund the Courage To Speak curriculum written to combat the risk of threshold drugs including marijuana, alcohol and tobacco.

  • Courage to Speak Charity Basketball Tournament
    Enjoy basketball played by the area's best all-star high school girls, a "Battle of the Sexes" matchup, and plenty of foul shooting contests for kids of all ages at the Courage To Speak Charity Basketball Tournament taking place 6 p.m. on Friday, April 2 at Norwalk High School.
